Data Protection
Since the introduction of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and the associated Data Protection Act 2018, this raises a number of new issues which need to be considered. As members of the public, you are entitled to access information which is held on you via a Subject Access Request (Article 12 of the GDPR) and you are also entitled to correct wrong information or to request that information is erased, via the necessary procedures.
If there has been a data breach which has caused distress or had a financial impact, then you are entitled to seek compensation.
We can help you with these issues because of our experience, not only in litigation, but in data protection. If enforcement of your rights is required, or, as a small business, clarification of your position with regard to the management of data or requests which have been made, we can help with this.
Please feel free to get in touch and we can investigate the most effective way forward.
